Booking
Bookings can be made by e-mail to booking@myuncle.is
Confirmation will be returned to you no later than 2 working days after the booking has been received. Please check the confirmation sent by us carefully. If there is any deviation from what has been requested - please contact us within 2 working days.
At the beginning of the tour, participants are requested to pay by credit card, cash or show a receipt/transfer of payment to our bank account:

Changes due to weather or other risks factors
If weather conditions are precarious in Iceland. Furthermore, volcanic activities in the area can prevent outdoor activities. Consequently, it could be necessary in order to secure the safety of the participants, to change or cancel the tours. My uncle will be in contact with you in case there are any foreseeable changes that have to be made or the tour has to be cancelled. If payment has been received, you will be refunded in case of cancellation.
Cancellation due to lack of participation
In case minimum participation is not met, the tour can be cancelled with 24 hours’ notice. It such a cases, it is an option for the participants to pay extra for a private tour in accordance with prior consent with My Uncle.
Participants responsibility
The participants are requested to make sure that they do not suffer from any illness or deficient physical condition that may make the physical activities as described at the web site www.myuncle.is, a threat to their health and/or wellbeing.
The participants should adopt to the supervision provided by the guide to avoid hazards during the tour.
The participants should be dressed according to weather conditions at the day of the walk and have supplies of drinking water and energy rich snacks as they themselves deem need for 3 to 4 hours hike.
In the case of Fimmvörduháls Pass, be prepared physically and with supplies, for 10 to 12 hours walk in demanding terrain.
As weather condition can change with the hours of the tour, participants are advised to be prepared to dress in accordance with sudden increase in wind and precipitation.
For the hike over the Fimmvörduháls Pass, the participants should apply the packing list provided.
Privacy Policy

The information you send is entered into our booking system and we will guard and disclose your personal information in accordance with Icelandic legislation.

Jurisdiction and Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Iceland. In the unlikely event of a dispute, the participants agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Icelandic courts.
